We are searching for an Ultrasound Specialist RVS— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will integrate scientific knowledge; technical skills, patient interaction and compassionate care resulting in diagnostic information, and recognizes patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. You’ll be a liaison between patients, radiologist and other members of the support team. You must remain sensitive to the needs of the patient through good communication, and exceptional patient care skills. You’ll also be responsible for patient care, appropriate documentation, quality control, and quality improvement, and provide training, education and mentoring to students, technologists, nursing, residents, fellows, staff and others.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Checks room daily for adequate stock necessary to facilitate continuous exam flow. Maintains appropriate inventory as indicated by posted par levels and updates supply lists when items are needed.
• Provides clear and detailed information regarding the procedure to the patient, family and others.
• Provides information to patients, health care providers, students and the public concerning the role and responsibilities of individuals in the profession.
• Working independently performs routine and complex, STAT, urgent, on-call and potentially intraoperative Ultrasound cases, while accurately demonstrating understanding of anatomy and pathology through proper imaging techniques.
• Depending on location, uses sterile technique when assisting with biopsies, drainages and any invasive procedures.
• Expert knowledge of information management systems: demonstrates systems functionalities, accurately performs functions independently and serves as a resource to others. Adherence to HIPAA at all times.
• Accurately and independently performs procedures, identifies and resolves issues. Seeks experiences and knowledge in the technical area to gain expertise.
• Leads efforts associate with quality and process improvement.
• Positions self in challenging situations and responds with confidence, professionalism, and accuracy in the face of multiple demands and shifting priorities.
• Coaches and mentors the staff in protocols, procedures, examinations and corrective actions.
• Evaluates operations, resolves questions and provides follow-up to ensure appropriate actions are taken.
• Serves as an internal resource to the team.

Skills & Requirements
• Graduate Of A Formal Diagnostic Radiology Program Required
• BLS - Cert-basic Life Support American Heart Association, Acquired By 12/02/20 Required
• RVS - Registered Vascular Specialist Cardiovascular Credentialing International (Required By The Later Of 07/01/2022 Or Within 18 Months Of Entry Into Role) Required
• RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist by American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography may substitute for the RVS
• RDMS-AB - RDMS In Abdomen American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (Ardms) or One Of The Following Required:
o RDMS-OB - Reg Diag Med Sonographer OBGYN American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
o RDMS-PS - RDMS In Pedi Sonography American Registry For Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS)
• 3 Years Ultrasound Experience Required
