We are looking for a Decision Support Analyst to assist the manager in collecting, analyzing and organizing information for reporting to hospital management to support decision-making.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Responsibility A: Assists with maintenance of the Decision Support System.
• Performs daily maintenance, including posting, of charge detail and payment and adjustment transactions.
• Performs monthly processing of the hospital general ledger details.
• Audits data for accuracy.
• Assists departments with understanding of decision support & cost accounting information.
• Assists with system upgrades.
• Assists with developing and updating department cost standards.

Responsibility B: Prepares monthly reports and ad hoc requests for information from the decision support system.
• Prepares monthly financial and statistical reports.
• Prepares ad hoc financial analyses.

Responsibility C: Assists with special projects as requested.
• Performs special projects as assigned by the Manager of Decision Support.
• Assists in the analysis and interpretation of data used in making decisions throughout the organization.

SHARED ACCOUNTABILITIES
Knowledge and Skills
• Basic knowledge and understanding of cost accounting and financial accounting.
• Ability to use Microsoft applications including Excel.
• The ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing is essential.

QUALIFICATIONS
Education
- Bachelor's Degree (finance, accounting, business or healthcare) required
- Master's Degree preferred

Experience
- 2 years finance, accounting, or related business field

Experience offset:
Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
