We are searching for an Organizational Development Consultant – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist Texas Children's in preparing for growth and change through talent planning, employee development, and organizational consulting by enhancing employee engagement, growing talent at all levels, and equipping departments, teams, and individuals to manage and adapt to change.  Key functions of this role include project management, facilitation, diagnosing and improving human performance, facilitating organizational change, coaching, measurement/evaluation, and targeted training delivery. Primarily delivers organizational improvement efforts for frontline leaders and staff, units and/or teams.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Delivers organizational improvement efforts for frontline leaders and staff, units or teams designing processes, tools, and interventions focused on improving operations and team performance
  • Facilitates Change: Facilitates activities that create moderate change usually within a unit or team. Links the change process to daily life of system, mobilizing additional internal resources to support continued change, and determining the parts of the organization that warrant a special focus of attention
  • Implements talent planning and people development initiatives, offering programs, tools, and resources focused on developing performance in current and future roles
  • Works with staff and frontline leaders regarding challenges in individual performance, team dynamics, or leadership transitions. Uses an interactive process to help individuals and organizations develop more rapidly and produce more satisfying results; improving others’ ability to set goals, take action, make better decisions, and make full use of their strengths.
  • Identifies opportunities to increase participation and involvement of Human Resources team members by promoting team and departmental initiatives as evidenced by verbal, written, and behavioral input at team/departmental meetings or committees and as observed by the management team. 
  • Supports the organizational and departmental initiatives by participating in and demonstrating awareness and knowledge of complex cross-functional teams/committees
  • Sound working knowledge of Organizational Development theory, tools, systems, and processes that support talent planning, people development, and organizational growth and change. 
  • Required for completely satisfactory performance in this job is the ability to effectively coach frontline leaders and staff, work collaboratively, and operate with flexibility and adaptability
  • Clearly conveys information and ideas through a variety of creative media to individuals and groups in a manner that engages the specific audience and helps them understand, learn and retain the message.

Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree required 
  • PHR or SHRM-CP preferred.
  • 3 years Organizational Development or Talent Management experience required 
  • Experience in DiSC or Hogan Assessments preferred
  • Experience with surveys preferred
