We are searching for a Senior Corporate Communications Specialist — someone that  leads and implements integrated communications strategies to attract, develop, engage and retain both existing and future employees. In support of Texas Children's mission of providing world-class health care to children and women everywhere, the Employer Branding and Internal Communications team is made up of diverse individuals who are each committed to creating a positive employee and candidate experience by delivering high-quality, timely, thoughtful and effective communications.

Qualifications:

  • Required Bachelor's Degree with a preferred bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Mass Communications, Human Resources or related field
  • 4 years’ experience in communications, marketing, Human Resources, or similar experience
  • Ability to find stories throughout the system that can be told on internal communication channels/forums to show off the incredible passion of our team members
  • Planning, preparation and execution of online and live communication forums for top leaders that include multi-media elements and expert story-telling
  • Manage internal Sharepoint sites to effectively communicate timely materials and issues of importance (Sharepoint knowledge HIGHLY PREFERRED)

Responsibilities:

  • Serves as a lead for Corporate  Communications
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders, physicians, department leaders and administrative staff to understand the needs of the organization
  • Writes and edits a wide variety of communications with excellence, creativity, and accuracy
  • Develops strategic communications plans to promote and advance Corporate  initiatives, goals and priorities
  • Consults with stakeholders within the  organization to build communication plans around areas such as retention, well-being, benefits, performance management, etc.
  • Develops and executes campaigns to inform, educate and inspire employees across the Texas Children’s Organization
  • Serves as internal communications lead for multiple Texas Children’s areas and departments
  • Develops strategic communications plans to promote and advance organizational initiatives, goals and priorities
  • Serves as a member of our crisis communications team, leading and participating in emergency response efforts
  • Writes and edits a wide variety of communications with excellence, creativity, and accuracy. 
  • Uses an innovative blend of media to achieve desired awareness among
  • employee populations
  • Builds relationships with key stakeholders, physicians, department leaders and administrative staff to remain current on important news and initiatives
  • Serves as owner for development and maintenance of web content for Texas Children’s People website
  • Develops, maintains and builds content on internal Leadership site
