For Texas Children’s Director of Nursing Natashia Bush, every day is a busy day. She still makes it a point to impact one life each day for the better.
“For me, the best way to be a leader is to focus on the small impacts that snowball into big changes”, says Natashia. “Encouraging growth and development in others is the greatest reward as a leader.”
It’s been more than 20 years since Natashia’s days as a young mother when her nursing journey began. In 2020, she received the Mark A. Wallace Catalyst Leadership Award celebrating her contributions as an inspirational leader at Texas Children’s.
Natashia exemplifies our value “embrace freedom” by finding her own inspiration in the people at Texas Children’s as she marvels at the knowledge each individual can impart to those who are open and curious.
“There’s definitely a diversity in the number of things you can do, be and learn at Texas Children’s,” says Natashia. “Being able to learn from those around me has made a better leader.”
