“Every day when you do something, do it with love,” says Environmental Services Lead, Hilda Andrade. “With love, you will feel great.”
Hilda was recognized as a finalist for the Mark A. Wallace Catalyst Leadership Award in 2020 for her extraordinary kindness, enormous love for our patients and commitment to providing world class service. The award committee added a special “Heart of Gold” category to honor Hilda’s selfless acts of leadership making her the first to ever receive this award.
“My passion has always been to help people and I’m thankful for the opportunity to make an impact here at Texas Children’s,” said Hilda.
Hilda passion to help others extends beyond the walls of Texas Children’s as she regularly takes mission trips to Mexico to donate medical equipment, toys and clothing to kids and, of course, spread a little love along the way.
