We are searching for a Senior Orthopedic Technician -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide excellent customer service and assist the patient care team by providing casting and medical assistance to the licensed providers during patient scheduled clinic visits or patients in the emergency center. Provides operational assistance, ensuring and coordinating the intake and rooming of patients to effectively manage the patient visit cycle time.

Skills & Requirements

  • H.S. Diploma or GED, some college preferred
  • Required 3 years of Experience doing basic casting, splinting, and hardware maintenance
  • Pediatric experience preferred
  • Experience with club foot and plaster is preferred

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provides casting assistance to all members of the orthopedic sports medicine team
  • Promotes customer service, patient safety, and communication
  • Initiates and supports patient flow in the clinic by screening patient’s and placing them in an exam room (Job Station: Weigh and Measure)
  • Assists the provider with procedures and paperwork
  • Provides oversight for all educational development and student programs
  • Maintains inventory and ordering of all orthopedic supplies for the emergency center
