We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Legal Operations Paralegal to support the Office of General Counsel. This role plays a critical part in streamlining legal processes, managing legal documentation and software platforms, supporting contract workflows, and coordinating data reporting across multiple legal functions.

Reporting directly to the General Counsel, the Legal Operations Paralegal will collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and senior leadership to ensure efficient tracking, communication, and reporting of legal matters. This role combines legal support and administrative coordination with operational insight and data management.

Skills & Requirements

  • Document and Contract Support
    • Conduct initial review of contracts and legal documents.
    • Coordinate document routing, approval, and execution with attorneys and internal departments.
    • Prepare legal filings and correspondence for attorney review.
  • Legal Technology and Data Management
    • Support and maintain internal and external legal tracking systems.
    • Collect, analyze, and report legal performance metrics across all legal functions.
    • Generate legal activity summaries for senior leadership (CFO, COO, CEO).
  • Legal Research and Writing
    • Conduct legal research using tools like Westlaw and the internet.
    • Draft internal memoranda and correspondence under attorney supervision.
    • Assist with cite-checking and legal document verification.
  • Reporting and Communication
    • Prepare reports, presentations, and summaries of legal activities.
    • Communicate with leaders, attorneys, and outside counsel as needed.
  • File and Workflow Management
    • Maintain and organize legal files and databases for easy retrieval.
    • Manage workflow tools for tracking legal documents and processes.
  • Cross-Functional Legal Support
    • Participate in legal projects and departmental activities.
    • Provide general support to legal teams and contribute to departmental efficiency.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
    • A Bachelor's degree may substitute for 4 years of experience and the paralegal certification.
  • Minimum 6 years of paralegal experience required
  • At least 1 year of experience working with legal tracking software and data tools required 
  • Paralegal Certification required if candidate does not hold a bachelor's degree.

Preferred Skills and Knowledge

  • Proficiency with legal document management systems and software workflows.
  • Familiarity with legal documents (contracts, filings, pleadings).
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint; data reporting experience preferred.
  • Legal research experience, particularly in healthcare law, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication, multitasking, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to exercise discretion and sound judgment with confidential and high-impact legal matters.
