We’re looking for a Director of Strategic Initiatives, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will lead and be responsible for projects, which are complex, multi-disciplinary and/or enterprise-wide, and provide expertise to short and long-term assignments (internal and external) to the designated areas of responsibilities. Key functions of this role include team development, monitoring, and guidance; work process analysis and improvement; data analysis and creative problem solving; and facilitation of various strategic initiatives.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Manage projects delegated by leadership including, but not limited to, business planning and development, strategic planning, financial analysis, development of affiliations and contracts, medical staffing, facilities planning and construction, and operations planning and development
•    Coordinate resources needed for completion of assigned projects. Includes managing and coordinating data, information and/or personnel
•    Manage the completion of projects/assessments and monitor progress against plan and budget. When necessary, adjust plan with approval of project sponsors
•    Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders regarding progress of project/assessment
•    Analyze issues and data related to projects and presents findings to leadership for effective decision-making, and present recommendations orally and in writing in a clear, concise format
•    Work closely with the CEO’s administrative support to remain apprised of and schedule upcoming commitments
•    Confirm objectives for meetings and recommend participants and best approach, and develop background information for the CEO on the meeting
•    Coordinate team goal preparation and writing; coordinate the tracking of progress and report updates to executive leadership quarterly
•    Perform work assignments as needed to ensure continuity of services, e.g. provide coverage in the event of a vacancy or similar situation
•    Actively participate in task forces and director-level committees; represent leadership or any of their areas of responsibility on multidisciplinary teams
•    Consult with and provide guidance to senior leaders on issues that cross multiple departments within areas of responsibility; involves others within these areas as needed
•    Participate in strategic planning and the development and refinement of joint initiates between company and various other healthcare related institutions as needed

Skills & Requirements
•    Bachelor’s degree required
•    Bachelor’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field preferred
•    5 years of relevant work experience, including 2 years of experience managing medium to large-sized projects required
•    A master’s degree in business administration, healthcare administration, nursing, or other related healthcare, business, or science field may substitute for 2 years of relevant work experience
