We’re searching for a Manager of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you’ll direct, manage, and coordinate the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation department's daily inpatient/outpatient operations related to the provision of therapy services and provide clinical direction to therapists, technicians and students. Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Manage PM&R Department daily operations to ensure efficiency, compliance and accuracy while maintaining optimum levels of patient and family satisfaction
• Review processes to identify gaps between requirements and current outputs; identify “possibilities” via benchmarking or other external comparisons
• Coordinate clinical training and mentoring for licensed and non-licensed staff based on identified individual and department needs and organizational requirements
• Collaborate with Special Projects Coordinator to develop ongoing educational opportunities for staff
• Develop new policies and procedures in conjunction with the leadership team
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and accrediting agency standards (JCAHO, HCFA, DI, CLIA, OSHA, and ADA)
• Audit departmental use of organizational electronic data bases, identify problems and opportunities for improvement, analyze options, and select and implement effective improvements
• Organize orientation for new employees and student interns and ensure that new employee/student orientation procedures are completed
• Facilitate professional development of direct reports for optimal contribution towards organizational and departmental priorities and goals

Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech Pathology with 2 or greater years of leadership/management experience required
• Master’s degree in Physical Therapy or Occupational Therapy or Speech Therapy preferred
• Required licenses/certifications:
o OT - Occupational Therapist by State of Texas or
o PT - Physical Therapist by State of Texas or
o TX-SLP - Texas Speech Language Pathology by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation
• 8 years of health care experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
