We are searching for an IS Communications Specialist – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will develop strategic communication deliverables and use effective delivery channels to create awareness, understanding, and maximize acceptance of Information Services strategic initiatives across IDS. To lead a team in the development of strategic training programs related to the standard software utilized by the end-user community.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Manages the development of creative and relevant content using various methods to meet the Information Services/Technology educational needs of the end user community.
• Manage the day-to-day operations of communication and training coordination supporting Information Services.
• Maintain expert understanding of IT technology, training technology and new management techniques for the purpose of applying this knowledge to IT educational programs by attending various vendor offered programs as well as self-development programs
• Coordinates the efforts between the IT department, end-user community and outside training resources and oversees the related activities. Acts as a liaison between IT and the user community, providing consultative assistance to ensure resources are being fully exploited.
• Analyzes, provides insight and recommendations to IS Leadership on cross-team, operational, projects and communication issues. Delivers a consistent and unified IS message as well as creating a concise communication plan.
• Actively seeks ways to maintain relationships with internal and external IS customers, measuring client satisfaction, and recommending appropriate steps to enhance IT customer satisfaction.
• Meets routinely with both IT and non-IT management to discuss, review and recommend Information Services/Technology training opportunities. This training can range from various forms of media to instructor-based courses.
• Collaborates with key internal stakeholders to develop creative communication strategies to deliver the organization’s messages.
• Assists with other communication and training content on strategic project initiatives.
• Serves as primary internal communications representative in urgent and crisis situations.
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's degree in journalism, public relations, communications, or information system required
• 4 years of experience in one of the following or combined: communications, English teaching, technical writing or Editor field with increasing levels of responsibility required
