We’re hunting for a Senior Counsel, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will support the director in providing legal counsel and guidance to hospital and its affiliated entities; interacts with state and federal agencies as appropriate; provides counsel regarding contractual arrangements; works with and serves as a liaison to outside counsel; participates in meetings and serves on committees as appropriate; leads and supports on other matters as assigned by the director.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides legal counsel to hospital and its affiliated entities.
- Provides legal counsel and guidance, including written legal opinions and memoranda, to hospital’s management and staff, under the direction of the director.
- Researches, investigates and remediates legal and corporate compliance issues.
- Reviews policies and procedures within hospital and research of applicable legal issues.
- Assists with litigation-related activities, as directed.
- Drafts, reviews, and revises contractual agreements entered into by hospital and its affiliated entities.
- Coordinates and assists in contract negotiations and the execution of contractual agreements.
- Research applicable laws, rules and regulations that impact specific contracts or the contracting process.
- Aids and works with other attorneys in the department on various projects.
- Works directly with hospital leaders on assigned projects.
Skills & Requirements
- Required Juris Doctor Degree (JD)
- License to practice law in the State of Texas is required. If candidate does not have a Texas law license, must have and maintain a license to practice law in another state and get licensed in the State of Texas within 18 months of hire.
- Required 2 years attorney experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- 4 years’ experience as a licensed Attorney with a focus on litigations and disputes.
