We’re searching for a Senior Facilities Space Planner, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you will partner with leadership to ensure the most effective and efficient use of real property assets and space within the real estate portfolio. Assists with the development of strategic facility plan, determines long-term space demand and identifies space solutions that facilitate business objectives. Collaborates with end-users and internal stakeholders to understand operational workflows, spatial relationships and required adjacencies. Develops tactical solutions that optimize individual departmental needs in consideration of general interest requirements and space constraints. Provides technical guidance and mentorship to other members of the Planning staff.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Supports facility strategic planning and portfolio master planning activities.
  • Provides information and advice to the Director, Executive Space Management Group and facility planning teams responsible for master planning and strategic planning activities
  • Assimilates strategic space requirements, portfolio square footage, and end-user facility infrastructure requirements to identify potential gaps between space supply and demand.
  • Proactively reviews areas within the portfolio to identify opportunities to improve space utilization. Develops potential solutions for consideration by leadership.
  • Develops and implements space planning assessment and optimization programs to be incorporated throughout the portfolio. Identifies and assesses data sources required for the facilities planning process and implements workflow changes to enhance the process and address gaps in data.
  • Leads space planning projects & space management programs.
  • Manages internal and external relationships through effective communication.
  • Leads and participates in a collaborative team environment to achieve best outcomes.

Skills & Requirements

  • Required bachelor's degree in arts, interior design, architecture, facilities management, logistics, or related discipline
  • Required 5 years' experience in facility planning/coordination, preferably in a corporate or healthcare setting
