We’re searching for an Audiology Clinical Specialist, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will provide the highest quality age-appropriate audiologic care for patients newborn to 21 years of age within the scope of practice and established practice standards for Audiology. The Clinical Specialist functions effectively as a member of the clinical team by providing advanced practice to patients. He/she provides informal education for and serves as preceptor and mentor of other staff members.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Provides diagnostic assessments
• Age-appropriate diagnostic assessments and interpretation
• Amplification evaluations/dispensing, verification, validation, programming and training
• Documentation and patient/family education
• Complete documentation meeting departmental standards for content, accuracy and timeliness. Written reports must
• accurately and clearly describe history, test results and recommendations
• Follow policies and procedures for best practice according to TCH Audiology protocols
• Counsels/educates parents regarding test results/recommendations/financial resources
• Serve as mentor for Clinical Generalist or student extern
• At least 2 director approved ½ hour topic or case presentations per year to staff, residents, parents, community, and other professionals
• Acts as an audiology project leader, committee leader or specialty team leader
• Participates in the development of evidence-based protocols and guidelines
Skills & Requirements
• Doctorate required
• Doctorate Audiology preferred
• TXAUDLIC - Texas Audiology License by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (or Texas Department of State Health if issued prior to 2017) required and
• BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association required and
• CCC-A - Cert-Audiology by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association within 6 months of position start date required or ABA-CERT - Cert-Audiology by the American Board of Audiology within 6 months of position start date required
• 3 years Post-graduate Audiology experience required
