We are searching for an Ambulatory Supervisor - Virtual Visit Support Center — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you'll provide patient access to all clinical locations by managing the daily operations of the Ambulatory Service Representative functions.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Associate's degree preferred
  • 2 years Health Care experience required
  • Supervisory experience and/or emergency center registration experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Ensures that all staff complete daily patient registration procedures per departmental processes in a timely manner for each day clinic is in session
  • Minimizes registration errors that result in accounts being kicked to a re-work work queue
  • Ensures that staff is attempting to collect co-pays, deductibles, and out of pocket amounts prior to patient leaving the clinic
  • Monitors, and when necessary, completes quality audit reviews on a sample of clinic patients per each staff member
  • Investigates and corrects issues with cash drawers, charge entry and other processes
  • Creates, changes and coordinates provider master schedules/templates for new and existing providers in partnership with department
  • Manages admission, scheduling, check-in/welcome desk, patient packets, registration, insurance authorization, payment collection processes, and clinic flow
  • Ensures appropriate communication occurs between non-clinical and clinical team members, to promote efficient patient care
  • Establishes, in conjunction with the manager, departmental efficiency and quality goals for the clinics
    Aligns departmental resources to meet the established efficiency and quality goals
    Tracks performance against efficiency and quality goals
  • Communicates progress against established goals to staff and the manager
  • Coordinates resources (staff, equipment, and space) and work assignments to meet process performance targets and departmental customer services expectations
  • Provides ongoing training, coaching, and development of Ambulatory Service Representative team to meet performance targets, gather the most accurate financial and demographic information for each patient encounter, and provide the highest possible customer service
  • Assists in the development of annual performance management tools for staff
  • Works with manager and assistant director to identify potential areas for improvement in the clinic processes
     
  • Accurately inputs registration information into Epic
