We are searching for a Refrigeration Tech II – someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to primarily include Refrigeration and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. You will also be responsible for maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors
  • Maintains documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures specifically including but not limited to work order completeness
  • Reports major failures and equipment malfunctions to Team Leader
  • Demonstrates troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills equivalent to those required to receive certification from an appropriate vendor or certification from a refrigeration trade school
  • Demonstrates work quality consistently meets the customers’ needs
  • Demonstrates work quality consistently meets all applicable code requirements
  • Participates in all hospital and departmental training as required by leadership
  • Ensures effective communication as demonstrated by maintaining good rapport and cooperative working relationship with internal and external customers
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates projects

Qualifications Required:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent
  • 5 years of experience as a refrigeration service-related technician

Preferred:

  • Hospital experience
  • Other mechanical systems experience and certification.
