We are searching for a Clinical Value Analysis Coordinator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for working with both the Nursing and Supply Chain Management Departments to ensure that the strategic direction of the organization is met in terms of product standardization, clinical product quality, and supply expense management\cost containment. Reviews the current group purchasing (GPO) contract portfolio, develops comprehensive clinical and utilization protocols, and develops and executes a product standardization plan for clinical products within patient care areas. Builds strategic alliances with IDS staff, primarily supply chain management and clinical department directors, assistant directors and managers.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Develops and implements strategies and processes for reducing clinical product supply expense
• Works with clinical departments to evaluate products utilized in clinical areas
• Proactively works with nursing to raise patient care provider attention to supply cost management\containment, lost charges, and compliance. Coaches and reinforces staff compliance regarding the procedure for proper patient charges
• Ensures patient care providers use supplies appropriately and investigates the utilization of non-standardized products.
• Coordinates clinical product selection and standardization within clinical areas of the hospital
• Maintains and communicates financial and performance measurements as a gauge of standardization & utilization success
• Participates in inter-departmental meetings related to new product trials, selection, and implementation within clinical areas of the hospital
• Develops and facilitates departmental clinical product committees to reduce the number of SKUs (Store Keeping Unit) by encouraging standardization, increasing product quality, evaluating processes, and introducing new products.
• Meets with the unit leadership and nursing directors, as appropriate, to identify areas of support and review support provided.

Skills & Requirements
• Required bachelor's degree in nursing or related field and a preferred master's degree in nursing or equivalent
• Licenses/Certifications: RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
• Required 3 years nursing experience and preferred related business experience
