To provide for an effective electronic security system of access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV and to support the Security Services Departments efforts to provide a secure environment of care for Texas Children's Hospital.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:
• Plans, performs, and programs the security system to accommodate new security installations and relocations of access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems.
• Completes programming, device verification and commissioning of all system controllers as required. Validates complete system functionality and troubleshoots problems with staff and contractors to insure proper operation of the security system.
• Interfaces security system with the TCH network through formal contact with IS personnel to insure the two departments are working in concert to achieve network connectivity of the security system.
• Interfaces security systems with the TCH Fire System through formal contact with Facilities Operations personnel to ensure the security system is always following governing codes.
• Adheres to safety standards, local and national fire, and security codes, with high regard to employee and contractor safety.
• Perform security system installations and relocations.
• Performs preventive maintenance on security systems equipment such as security panels, card readers, doors, cameras, transmitters, receivers, recorders, and multiplexes.
• Provides assistance and guidance to technicians.
• Maintains up to date drawings and electronic files of all systems.
• Ensures accountability of assigned tools and equipment. Complete inventory to be completed NLT December 1st each year.
• Responds to routine and emergency radio traffic.
Skills & Requirements:
• H.S. Diploma or equivalent required
• 5 years' experience in installing and maintaining access control, intrusion detection, and CCTV systems Required
• Required current safe and clear driving record as defined in the TCH Fleet Safety Policy.
