We are searching for a Director of Regional Operations -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for the overall operating performance of Texas Children's Pediatric Associates practices, strategy development for growth initiatives as determined in annual market analysis and other projects as assigned by the President of TCPA. In addition, the Director advises, coaches, and mentors managerial, financial, and administrative expertise of the other members of the leadership team.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Mentors and develops leadership skills and provides development opportunities through education/training, feedback and coaching of leadership team members.

Oversees development and is responsible for achieving annual operating budget for each practice. Identifies and reviews monthly performance variances with Assistant Directors, physicians, and other appropriate personnel by monitoring financial performance for each practice. Works with the Assistant Director to develop action plans to address the variances.  Monitors and recommends staffing levels and skill mix by reviewing benchmark data and productivity levels. Reviews physician productivity to monitor employment contract compliance, making recommendations to President during contract renewal process, and reviews on an on-going basis with physicians.

Monitors customer satisfaction of TCPA practices (physicians, managers) through communication and feedback. Identifies and facilitates process improvement needs that improve customer satisfaction, patient flow or employee satisfaction throughout Texas Children’s.

Works to identify and resolve process issues and enhances system policies and procedures by actively participating in Texas Children’s and Pediatric Associates committees as needed. Participates and contributes to ongoing system project teams to ensure project integration and implementation throughout Pediatric Associates and Texas Children's.

Monitors and recommends facility needs, making recommendations for improvements (expansion, updating and relocation) based on practice strategic goals, budget and financial performance. Maintains leases for all practices, monitoring for renewal dates, tenant improvement allowances and evaluation for market competitiveness.

Develops growth strategy based on analysis and assessments of demographic data for specific geographic markets to monitor and achieve desired market penetration. Make recommendations for market expansion based on evaluation of existing practice demand and area strategic plans. Prepares financial models to assess feasibility of development of new pediatric practice, or expansion of existing practice.

Skills & Requirements

Required bachelor's degree in health care administration or related field  

DL ANY - DRIVER'S LICENSE ANY STATE

Required 8 years practice management experience or healthcare administration experience including and 5 years supervisory role
