We’re searching for a Senior Facility Equipment Tech, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll perform preventative maintenance and repair work on a wide variety of Biosafety Cabinets, Fume Hoods, Grossing Stations, and Animal Transfer Stations. You’ll also monitor and record the recertification of all equipment, pharmacy clean rooms and clean labs, and related HVAC systems as required by the Authority Having Jurisdiction (AHJ).

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs inspections, maintenance and repairs to lab and clean room ventilation equipment in conjunction with the applicable standards required for each location to provide a safe environment for hospital and research staff
  • Performs repairs and coordinates re-certifications as needed to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes
  • Demonstrates technical knowledge depth for hood ventilation, clean room and associated systems according to standards established by management team and AHJ
  • Demonstrates work quality that consistently meets the customers’ needs and all applicable code requirements and creates a safe environment
  • Ensures good rapport, effective communication, and cooperative, professional working relationships with internal and external customers
  • Plans, organizes and coordinates projects
  • Manages inventory following departmental inventory management and control parameters


Skills & Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required
  • 3 years of experience in bio-medical engineering or lab fume hood/safety cabinet service required
  • Hospital experience preferred
