We are searching for a Strategic Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP) —someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you are a key member of the HR leadership team, serving as a trusted advisor and strategic consultant to executive and operational leaders across Texas Children’s Hospital (TC)—the largest children’s hospital in the United States. This role aligns people strategies with organizational goals, ensuring the delivery of high-impact, data-informed, and strategic HR solutions that support excellence in children’s and women’s care, research, and innovation.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as a strategic partner to hospital and system leaders, translating business strategy into actionable human capital plans.
  • Lead people initiatives that drive culture, engagement, performance, and organizational effectiveness.
  • Anticipate and address workforce needs through data-informed HR solutions and proactive planning.
  • Collaborate across HR functions — including Talent Acquisition, Organizational Development, and Total Rewards — to drive recruitment, retention, and development efforts.
  • Support key strategic initiatives such as clinical expansion, digital transformation, and academic partnerships through strong change management leadership.
  • Use workforce analytics to provide insights on turnover, engagement, and workforce trends that shape business decisions.
  • Partner with Employee Relations to manage workplace concerns in a fair, compliant, and forward-thinking manner.
     

What We're Looking For 

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (required)
  • Master’s degree (preferred)
  • 8 years of HR leadership experience with at least 3 years in a strategic HRBP or related strategic talent role supporting complex healthcare, academic medical center, or hospital environments (required)
  • Experience working in a multi-site healthcare organization or academic medical center preferred
  • Senior-level HR certification: SPHR or SHRM-SCP (preferred)
  • Strong ability to build relationships, influence decisions, and lead through change
  • Experience using HR analytics and workforce metrics to drive insight and improvement
