We are searching for a Certified Medical Assistant (Mobile Clinic) — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide clinical support for patients in the hospital’s various ambulatory settings promoting cost effective, age appropriate, safe, and high-quality family centered care.
Minimum Qualifications
• High school diploma or GED
• Texas Driving License (active)
• Technical diploma from a medical assisting or emergency medical technician program
• BLS American Heart Association certification are required
• Healthcare and pediatric experience preferred
• Knowledge of medical terminology, medical assistant/outpatient care tasks, and customer service concepts
• Ability to demonstrate excellent interpersonal, communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills, and operate basic medical equipment
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

• CCMA- Certified Clinical Medical Assistant certificate from the National Health career Association required
• CMA-AAM- Certified Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Assistants
• EMT Certified Emergency Medical Technologist from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• EMT-A Certified Advanced Emergency Medical Technologist from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• EMT-B Certified Emergency Medical Technologist-Basic from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• EMT-I Certified Emergency Medical Technologist-Intermediate from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• EMT-P Certified Emergency Medical Technologist-Paramedic from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• LIC PAR- License Paramedic from the Texas Department of State and Health Services required
• NCMA- National Medical Assistant Certification from the National Center for Competency Testing required
• NRCMA - Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant from the National Association of Health Professionals required
• RMA- Registered Medical Assistant from the American Association of Medical Personnel, American Allied Health, American Medical Technologists, or American Registry of Medical Assistants required
Responsibilities
• Promotes customer service
• Ensures efficient patient flow
• Provide vaccinations to patients (understanding appropriate vaccination per age group)
• Drive the mobile vehicle to/from locations around Houston to provide care for patients
• Documents pertinent information in the medical record such as current immunizations, allergy status, vital signs, current medications, etc.
• Follows institutional and departmental policies and procedures regarding waive testing, quality controls, instrument calibrations, and maintenance, etc.
• Processes lab specimens and performs tests
• Reports results as written in applicable policies and procedures
