We are searching for a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.  Someone who will manage daily clinical and personnel activities for the Department. Participates and coordinates the delivery of high quality, family centered and developmentally appropriate patient care. Collaborates with ancillary departments to ensure timely and appropriate care.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's in Nursing
  • RN - Lic-Registered Nurses Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact required
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support BLS – Cert-Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association required
  • 2 years Nursing experience required

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible and accountable for the daily care coordination of patients within area of clinical subspecialty. 
  • Utilizes evidence-based nursing interventions during clinical visits, telephone encounters, and electronic communications according to state regulations, regulatory agency standards, and organizational policies and procedures. 
  • Determines which standards of care and practice apply to the patient; coordinates and communicates this information to other health care team members, in order to meet patient needs. 
  • Coordinates visits with physicians, ensures appropriate consultations in hospital by working with the Coordinators.
  • Coordinates visits with diagnostic imaging department and appropriate sub-specialists. 
  • Coordinates initial education of patients by phone. • Assists intake coordinator with initial appointment.
  • Provides education concerning various aspects of the care.
  • Coordinates nursing care of patients across various departments and subspecialty services by demonstrating commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills
