We’re looking for a Systems Specialist, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will initiate proper job execution and monitor network devices and systems according to computer operations policies and procedures. This position is responsible for recommending technical solutions for monitoring, data backup, and troubleshooting issues. This position reviews proposed and actual solutions to machine modifications and additional equipment to increase the capacity and throughput of data backups, recommends solutions and modifications.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Monitors and maintains system performance of Servers and/or Network equipment.
• Monitors performance of network devices and systems using the appropriate monitoring tools.
• Reviews monitoring reports and investigates potential technical issues.
• Isolates performance bottlenecks and corrects where appropriate according to departmental standards as defined in the operator’s manual.
• Reports to responsible department on potential required capacity modifications.
• Implements minor changes as requested following departmental policies and procedures.
• Investigates, initiates and executes scheduled and requested task and health checks.
• Resolves technical issues involving network devices, servers and the software which operates it, supporting high availability applications.
• Monitors and maintains tape library and coordinate offsite storage of tapes.
• Installs server or network hardware.
• Installs and maintains remote access and firewall equipment.
• Coordinates the establishment of network to host connection.
• Performs other essential job-related duties.
Skills & Requirements
• H.S. Diploma or GED required
• Associate's degree preferred
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• CCNA-DC - Cisco Cert Nwk Assoc Data Ctr by Cisco preferred
• CCNA-RS - Cisco Cert Nwk Asc RouteSwitch by Cisco preferred
• MCSA - Microsoft Cert System Admin by Microsoft preferred
• CISSP - Cert.Info.Sys Security Profes. Preferred
• 4 years network or server administration experience required
• Bachelor’s degree in an information technology discipline can substitute for the experience requirement
