We’re looking for a Manager of Health Information Management, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will manage assigned Medical Record and Record Management activities by supervising the daily execution of appropriate policies, procedures and workflow, thereby assuring timely and confidential maintenance of patient data for medical, financial and legal applications across the Integrated Delivery System.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Manages the daily staffing and work distribution for assigned areas.
• Implements daily, weekly, and monthly tactical plans and schedules to support the departmental goals and objectives, as well as the organizational strategic plan.
• Develops short- and long-term goals, ranging from daily to annual, for direct reports and obtains commitment to those goals through instruction and positive support.
• Counsels direct reports to enhance job performance and ensure compliance with departmental policies and procedures on a consistent and ongoing basis.
• Supports leadership by assuming specific, goal-oriented projects and/or special requests from department customers whenever the need arises.
• Prepares and/or directs the preparation of specialized reports.
• Collaborates with internal development groups and/or vendors to ensure smooth and coordinated implementation of new products as well as enhancements to existing systems.
• Provides input to assistant director and/or director during the annual and monthly budget evaluation process to assist in financial planning and resource allocation.
• Strives to achieve the goal of accreditation with commendation through the following: Ensures that JCAHO requirements specific to your department are fulfilled but also understand the linkage between your department requirements and those of the integrated delivery system. Collaborates with colleagues in other departments to ensure all JCAHO requirements are met.
Skills & Requirements
• Bachelor's Degree Health Information Management, Healthcare Administration, or Business required
• RHIA - Cert-Reg Health Inform. Admins by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or RHIT - Cert-Reg Health Inform. TECH by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) required
• 3 years' experience in a supervisory and/or team lead position, preferably in a Health Information Department required
