We’re searching for a Manager of Business Planning, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas and among the best in the nation. In this position, you’ll provide leadership and support for our strategic planning efforts including, but not limited, to service line strategic plans and expansions, market assessments and competitive and economic landscape assessments. You’ll also be responsible for collecting, analyzing and interpreting information, anticipating emerging industry and socioeconomic trends and disruptors and benchmarking best practices. In partnership with Operations and Marketing, this position will translate internal and external data to identify and maximize strategic opportunities to improve patient reach, identify new business opportunities and drive strategic decision making.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Leads cross-functional project teams focused on strategic planning. Areas of focus consist of service line market and peer assessments, market leakage and referral trends
  • Creates business plans and financial assessments for new initiatives
  • Develops proactive and reactive opportunities within existing and emerging markets  
  • Identifies key relationships, trends, priorities and gathers intelligence within target markets; interprets this information and recommends points of entry and opportunities for development
  • Leads long-term market and scenario analyses, leveraging macro socioeconomic and internal volumetric trends
  • Drives patient and member segmentation and analyses patient behavioral trending such as digital adoption, census tract trends, etc.
  • Provides outstanding customer service, develops strong relationships with executives, directors and all other leadership positions, identifies and resolves problems quickly and appropriately, and ensures communication is maximized
  • Plans, leads and directs other types of special projects as directed by the Director


Skills & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • Master’s degree preferred
  • 3 years of experience in finance, healthcare administration, business planning, entrepreneurship, process improvement or engineering required
  • 5 years of experience in finance, healthcare administration, business planning, entrepreneurship, process improvement or engineering preferred
  • Experience planning strategic initiatives in a large healthcare environment preferred
