We are searching for a Technical Supervisor -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide effective guidance and operation of the laboratory in compliance with departmental and institutional goals. This role coordinates technical procedures to ensure that high quality laboratory services and testing are provided to patients in a timely and cost-effective manner. You will also provide operational leadership to the staff within the lab via direct supervision.

Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree Required
One or more of the following certifications is Required: BB-ASCP, C-ASCP, CG-ASCP, CLSP-NCA, H-ASCP, HLT, M-ASCP, MB-ASCP, MLS0ASCP, MP-ASCP, MT-AMT,
MT-ASCP, SBB-ASCP, SC-ASCP, or Med Tech certification from any state
4 years’ experience in a laboratory setting, one of which is in the area of specialization Required
5 years working in Blood Bank Preferred
Responsibilities:
Collaborates on the performance of routine and complex procedures
In compliance with CAP regulations, ensures data integrity of reports (including paper and video displays) to all viewing and reporting systems throughout the IDS
Works with the manager to develop and maintain a quality program to include setting quality control performance policies, calibration/calibration verification review of quality assurance data, and equipment
In collaboration with the manager develops and maintains a competency assessment program in compliance with the department’s quality assurance program
Maintains integrity of system, file maintenance, report, label, and collection list printing as related to assignments and requirements for section/shift
Develops competency and training tools (checklists, training documents; competency checklists, competency exams) procedures
Assists the Manager and Medical Director in the planning and implementation of a training program for new employees and for the retraining, or initial training of existing staff in the event of the introduction of new policies and procedures and/or equipment to ensure competency and compliance in the provision of services
Monitors supply expenses and usage of consumables to stay within budget
Provides operational leadership to the staff within the lab via direct supervision
