We’re searching for a Clinical Practice Consultant, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will demonstrate theoretical and clinical expertise in the physical, psychosocial, developmental, and educational aspects of
nursing care for specified patient populations The Clinical Practice Consultant works interdependently and independently with the multi-disciplinary team. Scope of practice will include practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, administrator, and change agent. The Clinical Practice Consultant is dedicated to promoting optimal patient/family care with the goal of enhanced patient/family outcomes.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
•    Serves as an advanced clinician
•    Front facing practice level leadership and targeted Quality Improvement
•    Gap in care closure
•    Relationship Management, Internal and External
•    Community Engagement and Interaction
•    Provider and Practice Education, Quality Oriented Health Topics
•    Supports effective deployment of the program at the practice level through strategic partnerships with participating practitioners and practice staff while assessing trends in quality measures and identifying opportunities for quality improvement
•    Consults in areas of expertise
•    Serves as an educational resource for the participating practitioners, practice staff, and other health care professionals
•    Serves as a researcher
•    Serves as a change agent
•    Serves as an administrator

Skills & Requirements
•    Required bachelor's degree nursing
•    Required RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact
•    Preferred BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
•    Required 4 years quality improvement, medical management or compliance experience in a healthcare setting and 3 years managed care experience with government sponsored programs
•    Preferred project management experience
