We are searching for a Psychometrist at our TCP Capital Pediatrics Group in Austin, TX area - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will be responsible for administering and scoring standardized psychological and neuropsychological assessments under the supervision of a licensed psychologist or physician. This role supports diagnostic evaluations for pediatric patients in the TCP clinics, contributing to the development of treatment plans and care coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Neuroscience, or Behavioral Science requires
  • Master's Degree preferred
  • CSP-BCP Cert Specialist Psychometry from the Board of Certified Psychometrists preferred
  • 2 years experience administering psychological assessments required
  • Experience preferably in a pediatric or clinical setting preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Administer a variety of age-appropriate, standardized cognitive, academic, behavioral, and neuropsychological tests to pediatric patients
  • Engage with patients in a supportive and developmentally appropriate manner, using behavioral management techniques when necessary
  • Assist in the collection of psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental patient data before and during the visit
  • Conduct pre-visit questionnaires as needed Assist in determining which assessments are most relevant for each patient, ensuring an efficient evaluation process
  • Score all assessments in a timely and accurate manner according to standardized protocols
  • Maintain clear, complete documentation of test performance
  • Enter detailed summaries in the electronic health record for review by supervising clinicians
  • Collaborate with physicians, psychologists, and other clinical staff to support patient care
  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions as needed
