We are searching for a Manager of Clinical Nutrition- Are you a dynamic and experienced nutrition professional looking to make a significant impact on patient outcomes through strong servant leadership? We are searching for a Clinical Nutrition Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a team of ambulatory dietitians who support multiple subspecialty clinics, including pulmonary, community nutrition, cardiology, complex care, oncology, adolescent medicine, gastroenterology, hepatology, neurology, and allergy.  A strong candidate demonstrates humility, a growth mindset, a drive for excellence and fosters trust and respect.

Qualifications:

  • BS degree in Nutrition or related field required.
  • One of the following certifications required
    • CSP - Cert Spec in Pedi Nutrition Commission on Dietetic Registration
    • CDCES - Cert Diab Care and Educ Spec Certified Board for Diabetes Care and Education
    • CSO - Cert-BC SPCLST Oncology NUTR Commission on Dietetic Registration
    • IBCLC - Cert-Lactation Con IBCLC International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners
    • CNSC - Cert-Cert NTI Support CLIN National Board of Nutrition Support Certification
    • CSR - Board Cert Spec Renal Nutrition Board Certified Specialist in Renal Nutrition (CSR) issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
    • CSSD - Board Cert Spec Sports Dietetics Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD) issued by the Commission on Dietetic Registration
    • AP - Adv Practice Cert Clin Nutrition Advanced Practice Certification in Clinical Nutrition (AP) issued by the International Board of Lactation Consultant Examiners.
  • Master's degree in nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or any health care business administration field of study can be used instead of extra certification.
  • 4 Years experience in nutrition field preferred

Responsibilities:

  • Implements and manages evidenced based processes and clinical nutrition standards of care for both inpatient and outpatient areas of responsibility
  • Manages the clinical staff to ensure adequate staffing, patient care coverage, and program/resource effectiveness.
  • Ensures job competence and positive/safe work environment of personnel by the coordination of staff development programs and new hire orientation/competency programs, mentoring of effective leadership skills of senior staff, and the implementation of work climate initiatives.
  • Ensures the delivery of quality, cost effective patient care within a family-centered environment by participating and/or leading at least one (1) performance improvement activity a year which improves patient flow, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction or patient care in collaboration with MC or specific area.
  • Coordinates nutrition care operations by participating in interdepartmental activities, participating on hospital committees, and collaboration with Food Service as well as committee involvement in NCC. Provides nutrition training for medical staff, professional groups and leads implementation of nutrition initiatives in area of responsibility.
  • Provides direct patient care for both children and adults as necessary in accordance with departmental guidelines.
