We’re looking for a Sleep Educator, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will assess, implement, and evaluate unit-based orientation and continuing education program for the Sleep program and accommodate diagnosis-appropriate and age-appropriate care. You will also execute and maintain accreditation of in-house training program.

Job Duties & Responsibilities 
•    Reviews current program, centralized orientation plan and program competencies annually. 
•    Collaborates with program leadership team, medical director, and preceptors annually. 
•    Ensures that the program orientation plan:  
o    Is based on regulatory agency standards, hospital policies and program goals 
o    Includes program competencies 
o    Includes infection control, safety, CPR, emergency simulation, and risk management issues 
o    Is based on patient population and care needs 
o    Is based on nursing standards of patient care 
•    Utilize performance improvement data; and incorporate orientee feedback. 
•    Revise or develop program orientation plan annually. 
•    Individualize orientee's initial unit-based orientation plan based on orientee's identified learning needs as indicated 
•    Review orientee's progress with preceptor and orientee on an ongoing basis. 
•    Perform formal or informal needs assessment of preceptors annually. 
•    Participate actively in the selectin of preceptors on an ongoing basis. 
•    Facilitate required number of centralized orientation programs (i.e. CPR). 
•    Complete annual learning needs assessment according to staff development guidelines and policies. 
•    Plan and implement or coordinate educational programs designed to meet the needs of all staff. 


As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards. 


Skills & Requirements 
•    H.S. Diploma Or GED Required 
•    Technical Diploma/Graduate Of A CMHEP (Commission On Accreditation Of Allied Health Education Program) Accredited Sleep Program Required 
•    BLS - Cert-basic Life Support And RPSGT - Reg Polysomnographic Technology Certifications Required 
•    CCSH - Cert Clinical Sleep Health Preferred 
•    4 Years Of Experience In Clinical Pediatric Sleep Medicine Required 
•    2 Years Of Teaching Or Leadership Experience Preferred
