We’re searching for a Team Leader House Supervisor -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide leadership and accountability related to the clinical and personnel activities of the House supervisor team and to provide support to the Assistant Clinical Director/Director. Responsible for ensuring seamless patient care and campus operations that foster family centered care throughout the hospital setting 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Provides leadership coverage and is responsible for the facilitation of patient flow, appropriate placement of patient bed assignments,  

Requests for patient transfers, internal and external, and appropriate nursing unit staffing. Is the Administrator-on-call (AOC) designee who can identify operational issues that require AOC involvement as well as propose a course of action, implementation of interventions and resolution.

Responsibilities

  • Observes, identifies, and addresses human resources issues for assigned staff.
  • Oversight of hiring, recruitment, and orientation of new staff.
  • Coaches, counsels, and develops the House Supervisor team to ensure a high-functioning team and the delivery of high-quality patient care.
  • Ensures accuracy of timekeeping.
  • Conducts staff meetings.
  • Conducts Performance reviews.
  • Supports the implementation of organization’s goals and strategic plan to staff.
  • Coordinates and collaborates with appropriate members of the leadership team to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Ensures cost-effective and appropriate use of employee resources.
  • Ensures appropriate and timely placement of internal and external transfers.
  • Acts as a clinical resource for nursing staff and ancillary personnel.
  • Serves as the clinical leader/resource to address hospital wide issues and events.

Requirements:

  • Required bachelor's degree in nursing
  • Required RN - Lic-Registered Nurses by the Texas Board of Nursing or Nursing Licensure Compact 
  • BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
  • Required 5 years of Nursing experience
