We are searching for a Medical Assistant for our TCP clinic— someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide clinical support for patients in the hospital’s various ambulatory settings promoting cost effective, age appropriate, safe, and high-quality family centered care.

As part of our commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace, all successful candidates will be required to undergo respiratory fit testing in compliance with occupational health and safety standards.

Requirements:

•  High school diploma or GED

•  Technical diploma from a medical assisting, emergency medical technician program or LVN program

•  BLS American Heart Association certification are required

Preferred:

•  Healthcare and pediatric experience preferred

•  Bilingual (Spanish) preferred

Responsibilities:

•  Promotes customer service

•  Ensures efficient patient flow

•  Documents pertinent information in the medical record such as current immunizations, allergy status, vital signs, current medications, etc.

•  Follows institutional and departmental policies and procedures regarding waive testing, quality controls, instrument calibrations, and maintenance, etc.

•  Processes lab specimens and performs tests

•  Reports results as written in applicable policies and procedures
