We are searching for a Medical Assistant at our TCP Sterling Ridge Clinic — someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will gather information, assess and provide direct care to patients. You’ll work collaboratively with other members of the healthcare team to render age-appropriate care.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Assist in the collection of patient/family data that may include biophysical, psychosocial, developmental, cultural, and environmental information per practice protocol
- Collect and document vital signs, BMI, height/weight and reason for visit with 100% accuracy
- Update documentation to include if patient has received care at any other location since last visit
- Prepare patient for examination per practice protocol
- Assist provider, as directed, during treatments, examinations and testing as directed by provider and within scope of practice
- Complete treatments as directed by provider and within scope of practice
- Document all intervention per practice protocol
- Administer medication and immunizations as directed by provider per practice protocol
- Identify patients eligible for Vaccines for Children Program and follow procedures for accurate documentation and management for this state funded program
- Provide patient/family education as instructed by the provider or practice protocol
- Document such education in the electronic health record
- Assess patient’s eligibility for referral by verifying coverage with payer prior to initiating referral
- Document eligibility in electronic health record per practice protocol
- Verifies provider order and patient per practice protocol

Skills & Requirements
- H.S. Diploma or GED, or Other Graduation from a Medical Assistant, Emergency Medical Technician, or LVN Program Required
- BLS Cert Required
- 1 Year of Related Work Experience Preferred
