We are searching for an Enterprise Architect -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will provide technical services to analyze, design, and deliver clinical/business solutions. Lends expertise to answer technical consulting questions, individually or as part of a project team. Serves as a subject matter expert associated with content, processes, and procedures associated with enterprise applications plans. Prepares and participates in "deep dive" technical evaluation meetings, investigating processes to understand data and communications flow within Texas Children's Integrated Delivery System

Job Duties & Responsibilities

Translates business needs into detailed requirement specifications. Identifies system or application needs. Analysis of current business practices, user needs, and workflow processes. Develops Architecture Specification deliverables that map customer business requirements into complete information systems (technologies, processes, and people) or operational solutions.

Facilitates enterprise systems design and architecture. Ability to lead the architectural design, development, deployment, and technical quality of large enterprise solutions that span multiple technologies and disciplines. Leads complex technical data warehouse discussions on modeling, integration, and overall technology solutions and design. Devises or modifies procedures to solve problems considering system capacity, limitations, and desired results.

Performs systems design and analysis. Develops a conceptual (theoretical) model from multiple data sources to improve performance. Identifies and documents the data sources, recipients, and interfaces that need to be developed to support data collection and maintenance. Prepares technical architectural and implementation design documents.

Analyzes system problems and modifications. Analyzes clinical & business use of existing systems to identify problems to be resolved and defines system applications or process improvements. Recommends modifications to application design or current procedures to maximize advantages of existing resources.

Participates in committees as an IS representative. Represents Information Services as a participating member of the designated committee. Communicates with IS management of the goals, problems, and solutions of the designated committees.

 

Skills & Requirements

Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.

Required H.S. Diploma or GED

Required 11 years of Information systems architecture, design, and /or maintenance experience

A bachelor's degree will substitute for 4 years of experience
