We’re searching for a Maintenance Technician III, -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform demand and scheduled preventive maintenance of the facility equipment to cover all trades including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, mechanical, HVAC, refrigeration, pneumatic tube, painting, carpentry, and associated systems in accordance with departmental, hospital and regulatory agency codes. Specific duties include maintaining facilities and equipment in hospital or clinic environments.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Performs preventative maintenance and repairs for multiple systems and equipment to ensure a safe environment and operational reliability according to standards established by management team.
Performs inspections, maintenance, and repairs to facilities to provide a safe environment for patients, staff, and visitors.
Performs repairs to failed equipment according to established standards and within acceptable timeframes.
Provides notification of equipment shutdowns to appropriate leadership, departmental personnel, and Service Response Center Operators.
Maintains documentation to accurately record equipment problems and failures, including work order completeness.
Log on and update information in the computer-based maintenance system.
Log on and basic manipulation of the components of the Building Automation System.
Reports major failures and equipment malfunctions to Manager.
Assists with, oversees and/or inspects repairs or modifications performed by contractors.
Demonstrates ability to perform power equipment skill sets.
Demonstrates blueprint reading skill set.
Demonstrates basic firefighting equipment use:
R.A.C.E. fundamentals
Fire extinguishers
P.A.S.S. fundamentals
Perform troubleshooting and problem-solving maintenance duties for multiple systems and equipment according to standards established by the management team.
Demonstrate technical knowledge depth on multiple pieces of equipment and associated systems according to standards established by the management team.
Demonstrated work product meets the expected criteria.
Demonstrate accountability for customer service and professional behavior through personal work ethic and teamwork.
Demonstrate accountability for effective communication skills.

Skills & Requirements
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
Required H.S. Diploma or equivalent
Required 3 years' experience as a general maintenance service-related technician
Preferred hospital experience
