We’re searching for an Intraoperative Monitoring Specialist, someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position you will collect and analyze multiple types of recordings and measurements of the electrical activity of the central and/or peripheral nervous system. This information allows intraoperative interventions that may reverse or minimize neurological morbidity, such as complete paralysis or loss of normal motor function.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Serves the Intraoperative Neuromonitoring service, in collaboration with the team leader, clinical manager, and medical director.
• Performs procedures efficiently and effectively during operations.
• Ensures compliance with all regulatory standards, including Joint Commission (JC), American Clinical Neurophysiology Society (ACNS), and the American Society of Electro-neurodiagnostic Technologists (ASET) as appropriate.
• Sets goals and initiates a development plan.
• Works with Clinical Manager to establish intraoperative monitoring policies and protocols according to ACNS Guidelines and keeps them current.
• Coordinates staffing schedules with Clinical Manager
• In collaboration with the Clinical Manager evaluates and recommends equipment purchases.
• Performs patient care and related activities in the operating room (preoperative, intraoperative, and post-operative) and in other Neurophysiology service areas as needed.
• Provides clinical mentorship.
• Attends health, safety and training in-services and other mandatory hospital activities.
• Serves the Intraoperative Neuromonitoring service, in collaboration with the team leader, clinical manager, and medical director.
Skills & Requirements
• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
• Required H.S. Diploma or GED with a preferred bachelor's degree
• Required Licenses/Certifications
o CNIM - Cert Neurophy Intraop Monitor by the American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
o REPT - Evoked Potentials American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
o REEGT - Reg Electroencephalogra Tech American Board of Registration of Electroencephalographic and Evoked Potential Technologists (ABRET)
o RNCST - Cert-Reg Nerve Conduct St Tech American Association of Electrodiagnostic Technologists (AAET)
• 3 years of experience in intraoperative neurophysiologic monitoring
