We’re looking for an Assistant Service Coordinator, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position you will support excellence in clinical practice and the care of patients in accordance with their developmental stages. The Assistant Service Coordinator will help in the daily operations of the Operating Room by assisting with flow and efficiency, demonstrating clinical expertise, and implementation of the departmental standards of Operating Room practice.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Assesses schedule to assist with the flow of the operating room.
• Collects data from surgery schedule, Service Coordinators, Surgeons, other departments, and other medical reports.
• Coordinates, analyzes, and reviews surgical procedures as observed by the Manager and Service Coordinator.
• Assists with ensuring availability of instruments, equipment, and other necessary items for OR cases.
• Attends daily Huddle Report.
• Assesses upcoming 1-week schedule and helps resolve issues with Service Coordinators.
• Cares for one or more of the following age groups routinely: Neonates, Infants, Toddler, Preschool Age, School Age, Adolescent, and Adult.
• Demonstrates commitment to team, flexibility, professional interpersonal, communication, critical thinking, and customer service skills.
• Accountable for managing time and resources in a cost-effective manner.
• Accountable for the coordination of the specialty services.
• Accountable for maintaining professional development of self and participates in development of others.
Skills & Requirements
• Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
• Required Educational program completion for surgical technologists which may include operating room/surgical training completed in the army, navy, air force, marine corps, or coast guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service
• Licenses/Certifications
o BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association
o CST-SUR - Cert-Cert Surgical TECH by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting
o TSC-NCCT - Cert-TECH Surgery - Certified by the National Center for Competency Testing
• Required 1 year and 6 months Operating room experience
