We’re hunting for an Assistant Director of Respiratory Care Clinic, someone who’s ready to be part of the best ranked children’s hospital in Texas, and among the best in the nation. In this position, you will provide 24-hour accountability for the clinical, administrative, and human resources activities of the Respiratory Care Department. Ensures the delivery of high quality, developmentally appropriate patient and family centered care.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
- Ensures the delivery of high-quality, cost-effective patient care for designated areas of responsibility, within a family centered care environment.
- Identifies, provides and/or creates opportunities for the department leadership team and staff to grow professionally.
- Identifies, facilitates, and participates in Performance Improvement projects that enhance patient care delivery systems and/or patient satisfaction.
- Develops and prioritizes department goals which are congruent and supportive of the IDS strategic plan.
- Develops and maintains effective working relationships and communicates relevant information to Director, medical staff, interdepartmental liaisons, and department staff.
- Identifies, provides and/or creates opportunities to support and enhance the department's work environment.
- Oversees the development and implementation of new clinical procedures and the development of appropriate competencies for the procedures.
Skills & Requirements
- Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
- Required bachelor's degree Respiratory Care or related administrative or healthcare field
- Required Licenses/Certifications
- RRT CERT - Cert-Reg Respiratory Therapist by the National Board of Respiratory Care
- RCP - Lic- Respiratory Care - RCP by the National Board of Respiratory Care
Preferred BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support by the American Heart Association board
- Required 5 years of neonatal, pediatric, and adult respiratory therapy and 2 years' experience in a managerial role
- Neurophysiology experience - nice to have
