Summary:

We are searching for a Senior Financial Analyst - someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist department in maintaining a framework in which Texas Children's financial and statistical performance can be continually measured against quantifiable targets established by all levels of authority, ranging from departmental managers to the Board of Directors. 

Qualifications

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or business administration required
  • 5 years’ experience in finance or accounting required
  • Healthcare experience preferred
  • A Master’s degree will substitute for two (2) years of work experience.
  • CPA preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare financial and statistical reports and monitors trends and variances
  • Assist in preparation of financial models
  • Coordinate, develop and maintain budget systems
  • Perform special projects as required by supervisor
  • Participate actively on teams and/or committees as requested by management
  • Prepare and analyze reports identifying differences between current actual results, budgeted targets, and prior year’s actual results
  • Review monthly closing entries prepared by accountants and assistants for accuracy by established departmental closing deadlines
  • Collect financial data (both manually and automated) from several institutional databases and systems
  • Assist in the analysis and interpretation of data used in making decisions throughout the IDS
  • Attend budget council and regional workgroup meetings as requested by management
