Summary:
We are looking for a Lead Certified Sterile Process Technician, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will assist the Manager in supervising the efficient processing of instruments and sterilization throughout Texas Children's Hospital.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Processes decontaminated medical devices as they are received, according to established priorities, medical device IFU’s and best practices.
Ensures staff are trained in the operation of the decontamination equipment.
Receives instruments from the decontamination area and processes appropriately.
Performs physical and environmental duties as designated routinely, including cleaning workspace/instrument room/cabinets, emptying biohazards waste, monitoring sterilizers, and checking environmental monitors.
Completes sterilization processes.
High level disinfection.
Monitor completion of Quality Assurance Data
Ensure the department is adequately staffed daily, including weekends.
Collaborate with others i.e., OR coordinators BioMed, Supply Chain, for troubleshooting/ordering instruments etc.
Performs other duties as assigned, including other essential instrument room duties.
Skills & Requirements
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
Required H.S. Diploma or GED
Required CRCST - Cert-Cert Reg Cent Ser TECH by The Healthcare Sterile Processing Association and CSPDT - Cert-Sterile Proc & Dist Tech by the Certified Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician issued by The Certification Board for Sterile Processing and Distribution
