Summary:
Looking for a Registered Nurse (RN)- Nurse Data Collection Specialist for the PICU to take responsibility for the collection and reporting of patient and unit data that will promote alignment and clinical integration within the department. The data provided will ensure a comprehensive system of care to optimize strategic and operational coordination, improve outcomes for ill children and enhance the most efficient, safe and timely utilization of resources.

Qualifications:
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
BSN preferred
Current licensure with the Board of Nursing for the State of Texas is required
A minimum of 2 years clinical experience in a pediatric special care or equivalent unit
Responsibilities:
Coordinate data entry, analysis and reporting as part of the comprehensive performance improvement process
Complete all data collection and data entry carefully and accurately per the database requirements for the highest level of data quality and integrity
Participate in the development of new project proposals
Conduct special projects and assignments at the direction of the Assistant Director and demonstrate evidence by review of completed project/new assignments
Notify the site coordinator of any issues related to potential data error or inaccuracy
Work with the project leader to refine, augment and improve on data collectionn methodologies and queries
Provide input and assistance in data queries as required and into the development of data collection forms and method for tracking subjects
