Summary:

We are seeking several licensed Behavioral Health Clinicians (LPC/LCSW/LMFT) to join our Traumatic Stress and Resilience Program, which provides evidence-based screening, assessment, and intervention services to youth with PTSD and other trauma-related conditions, such as depression or anxiety stemming from a traumatic life experience.

Requirements
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
 
•    Master’s degree in social work, counseling, or marriage and family therapy
•    Current Texas State license in professional field (LCSW OR LPC OR LMFT)
•    Fluency in Spanish preferred
•    At least two years of experience working in diverse community-based settings providing treatment to traumatized/and or grieving youth 
•    Ability to work independently and collaboratively, includes communicating effectively with team members in Uvalde and Houston.
•    Experience in working with families/children in crisis
•    Strong organizational skills

Responsibilities
Texas Children’s Hospital is growing our treatment programs for children and adolescents with mental health concerns across the acuity spectrum.  
 
Individuals in these positions will join our talented team of bilingual clinicians who currently provide outpatient trauma-based care, and who partner with several local schools who have been identified as serving large numbers of students who have experienced traumatic life events and losses.  We are seeking flexible clinicians who are interested in providing a combination of in-person and telehealth-based services.
 
As part of this expansion, we are seeking clinicians to partner with a community-based health center in Uvalde, Texas to provide mental health services to youth impacted by the tragic school shooting in May 2022.  Through this unique partnership, Texas Children’s Hospital seeks to promote recovery and resilience while building a sustainable program for ongoing care to the community.  The long-term goal is to create a sustainable infrastructure that will address the urgent and long term needs of the Uvalde school children and families. It is expected that clinicians dedicated to the Uvalde community will initially commit to being on-site in Uvalde for 4 days per month.
