Summary:

We are searching for an Ultrasonographer MFM I -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will perform routine ultrasound examinations for interpretation by Maternal-Fetal Medicine using specialized ultrasound equipment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Performs high-quality diagnostic ultrasound imaging exams in accordance with established department guidelines and protocols.  Be able to scan routine ultrasounds under the supervision of the Ultrasound Educator and MFM Physicians. The sonographer maintains a high standard of medical ethics at all times and is self-motivated to increase their level of understanding and knowledge of the field, disease process, and new procedures as they evolve

Skills & Requirements

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption
  • Technical diploma Graduate of a Diagnostic Medical Sonography program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) Or Associate's Degree or Bachelor's Degree
  • Licenses/Certifications Licensing: Required RDMS-OB - Reg Diag Med Sonographer OBGYN by the American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) with a preferred RDMS-FE - RDMS in Fetal Echocardiography
  • Preferred 1 year experience as a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer and 1 year experience in OB-GYN or Maternal-Fetal Medicine scanning experience
