Summary:

We are searching for an Educational Coordinator– someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you’ll develop and coordinate training while promoting overall educational efforts, standards, goals, and compliance. Lastly, you will coach and mentor practice staff.

Requirements
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption

•    Bachelor’s degree in nursing
•    Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) by the State of Texas Board of Nurse Examiners
•    Three (3) years of clinical nursing experience required
•    Experience in Nursing Education and/or Case Management preferred
•    Experience in pediatrics, NICU and/or Women’s Health preferred

Responsibilities
•    Knowledge of strategic planning methodology, regulatory, and accrediting agency standards
•    Knowledge of educational program design and training for impact methodology
•    Knowledge of performance improvement methodology and facilitative leadership methodology
•    Ability to lead and facilitate diverse groups to achieve pre-established outcomes in a reasonable timeframe
•    Ability to design reliable and valid data collection tools that measure performance, proven ability to assess needs and design, develop, implement, and evaluate interdisciplinary training
•    Plans, designs, develops, markets, and implements learning interventions that facilitate the application of learning in the workplace
•    Provides educational programs and ensures the program content is consistently relevant to target audiences' job duties
•    Coordinates or facilitates coordination of the implementation of cost-effective learning interventions/modules
•    Serves as a patient/family advocate and collaborates with other health care team members
•    Ensures and participates in ongoing communication with other health care team members in order to enhance patient/member-centered care and facilitate operations
•    Develops curriculums based on the learning needs of staff
•    Conducts a performance effectiveness assessment to identify gaps between desired and actual performance
•    Supports, facilitates, and implements interventions to close performance gaps according to pre-established timelines as measured by feedback from the leadership team
•    Implements and coordinates staff orientation plan
•    Collaborates with stakeholders and leaders across the system regarding the preceptor program
