Summary:
We are searching for a Law Enforcement Officer -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will patrol, guard, and protect the assets, staff, patients, and visitors of the hospital, functioning in this capacity as an off-duty Houston Police Department Officer or Supervisor.

Qualifications:
Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s, unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.
High school diploma or equivalent required
Texas Driver’s License that is current or able to obtain prior to start date required
Active status as a law enforcement officer for a public agency required
Valid peace officer commission with the Houston Police Department required
Responsibilities:
Patrols the physical assets of the hospital to maintain maximum security and ejects persons from the premises when appropriate
Stands guard post in the Emergency Room to protect the assets, staff, patients, and visitors
Creates security reports on the appropriate software and files Houston Police Department reports when necessary
Provides security escorts for staff and money transfers
