Summary:

We are searching for a Financial & Special Project Coordinator -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will develop and perform quantitative and qualitative assessments of current and potential financial, operational, clinical research, educational programs, market initiatives and may create proformas and business plans. Carefully scrutinizes appropriate financial reports and recommends operational adjustments to assist with meeting departmental and hospital financial goals. 

Skills & Requirements 

  • Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption.  
  • Required bachelor's degree business, healthcare, or public health field 
  • Required 4 years relevant business experience 
  • A master's degree in a business, healthcare, or public health field may substitute for 2 years of experience 

Job Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Develops methodology for assessments to be performed. Ensures appropriate data collection and analysis for the department. 
  • Meets with Executives, Physicians, and other project sponsors, as appropriate, to understand the issues underlying the current or potential initiative – and the type of assessments needed. 
  • Develops plan for completing required assessment, including project organization, data framework, involved parties, resource requirements and timeline. Presents plan to project sponsors, modifies as necessary, and obtains approval. 
  • Analyzes data, adhering to the principles of ethical and sound research methodology. 
  • Performs and manages assessments for current or potential initiatives. 
  • Summarizes results of assessments & makes recommendations based on such results. 
  • Assists in the development and monitoring of strategies and business plans. 
  • Develops positive working relationships with current and potential affiliates.
