Texas Children’s first health care location in Austin, Texas Children’s Urgent Care West Gate, opened in March 2018, providing high quality pediatric-focused care after hours and on weekends. There are now more than 10 Texas Children’s Pediatric primary care practices in the greater Austin area bringing world-class pediatric services to children and their families. Our Specialty Care Center in Austin includes a multidisciplinary group of pediatric specialists committed to providing comprehensive care across a wide spectrum of services, including allergy and immunology, cardiology, ophthalmology, rheumatology, pulmonology, neurology, and more. Texas Children’s also plans to build a 360,000-square-foot freestanding hospital for children and women, set to open in 2024.
Our thoughtful expansion into Austin will help support a pediatric population of more than half a million and keep kids healthy and happy from birth to adulthood.

Summary:
We are looking for a Retention & Workforce Strategies Specialist, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and sustaining programs and workforce initiatives aimed at retaining, engaging, supporting, and growing healthcare talent. You’ll work with HR and executive leadership to set goals, lead projects, coach leaders, develop/administer surveys, analyze data, and report on progress. Building and nurturing effective, productive partnerships with senior leaders, HR leaders and team members, and operational leaders will be essential to success in this role.

Job Duties & Responsibilities
In partnership and collaboration with HR, develops:
Programs and approaches to ensure our positive employee relations philosophy and efforts remain relevant and pivotal
New or enhanced efforts to positively impact employee retention and growth
Employee voice strategies that will positively impact employee engagement, experience and retention
Analysis and reports that identify areas of risk for increased turnover, leading to proactive collaboration with leadership to drive solutions
Collaborates and communicates with:
All levels of leadership, from executive to front line, to ensure compliance and enhance efforts related to employee retention, engagement, recognition, and growth
HR leaders and team members in order to ensure alignment and effectiveness of projects and initiatives
Establishes and maintains:
Robust reporting models to track a variety of retention- and engagement-related metrics, as well as root cause analysis and trends.
Work related to our positive employee relations philosophy, including compliance and understanding of different aspects of a variety of employment-related laws, rulings, memos, etc.
Partnerships with cross-functional and/or multi-disciplinary teams across Texas Children’s system to promote actions that support, engage, recognize, connect, and develop employees, thereby positively impacting retention efforts
Actively participates in task forces, committees, and represents senior leadership or any of their areas of responsibility on multidisciplinary teams.
Skills & Requirements

H.S. Diploma Or GED Required
Bachelor's Degree In Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing, Or Other Related Healthcare, Business, Or Science Field Preferred
6 Years Of Human Resources, Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Nursing Or Other Licensed Clinical Experience, Or Other Related Healthcare Or Business Experience Required
HR experience that includes labor relations and/or regulatory compliance is strongly preferred
