Summary:

Summary:

We are looking for a Supervisor of the Children's Sleep Center, someone who’s ready to grow with our company. In this position, you will supervise staff in the Sleep Laboratories, promote program development, assist in daily operations related to the provision of sleep disorders services, provide clinical direction to sleep technologists, respiratory therapists, and students, provide patient care in a developmentally and age-appropriate manner for patients ages 0 – adulthood within the scope of 
demonstrated clinical competencies.

Responsibilities:

•    Provides clinical and operational leadership and guidance.
•    Supervises technologists and other staff to ensure efficient and effective operation of the sleep lab and coordinates sleep staffing schedules.
•    Coordinates departmental performance improvement, staff performance management and collaborates with leadership on updating the departmental policies and procedures.
•    Facilitates the acquisition of knowledge through formal and informal teaching. Makes recommendations for continuing education.
•    Performs Patient Care and Related Activities.
•    Provides quality polysomnogram (PSG) data analysis and supervises technical operation.
•    Attends health, safety and training in-services and other mandatory Hospital activities.

Requirements:

•    Being fully vaccinated against COVID-19, including any booster dose(s) of the COVID-19 vaccine recommended by the Centers for Disease Control when eligible, is required for all employees at Texas Children’s unless approved for a medical or religious exemption. 
•    Required Technical diploma Graduation from a Commission of Accreditation of Allied Health Education Program (CAAHEP) or equivalent formal training. 
•    Preferred Bachelor's Degree
•    Required Licenses/Certifications:
o    RPSGT - Reg Polysomnographic Technolog Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT) 
o    RRT CERT - Cert-Reg Respiratory Therapist National Board of Respiratory Care (NBRC) 
o    BLS - Cert-Basic Life Support American Heart Association
•    Required 4 years Clinical experience in polysomnography and/or respiratory care 
•    Preferred 5 years' Experience in Polysomnography (PSG), including two (2) years of clinical pediatric experience.
