We are searching for an Applications Developer Associate -- someone who works well in a fast-paced setting. In this position, you will assist in the custom application development, maintenance and support of custom applications for Texas Children's

H.S. Diploma or GED required.
Experience as a software developer or software engineer for 1 year.
An Associate's degree in the computer sciences may substitute for 2 years of work experience.
A Bachelor’s degree in the computer sciences may substitute for 4 years of work experience.
A Master’s degree in the computer sciences may substitute for additional 2 years of work experience.
Knowledge and Skills
• Experience with application development, design, coding, testing and maintenance
• Working knowledge of basic control structures and elements of programming like loops, variables, functions, and objects
• Knowledge of relational databases, appropriate programming languages, data structures, server and network, a variety of
operating systems and multi-tier/web development methods.
• Ability to demonstrate logic, analytical and verbal and written communication skills, team-oriented work habits, good
interpersonal skills and the ability to adapt to different levels of technical experience.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a passion for continuous learning
• Required Skills
• Entry level experience with software development in C#/Visual Studio (.NET Framework) and WPF (Windows Presentation Foundation)
• Java or other Object, Oriented development
• Test Case Creation, Unit Testing
• Experience with MS-SQL
• Preferred Skills
• Agile: Scrum or Kanban
• Cloud development (Azure, AWS)
• Web Services (REST, SOAP, etc.)
